Position Summary:To be proficient in providing manicures and pedicures with the highest quality of customer service to Glen Ivy guest. This position has a high expectation for interactive contact n an ever-changing, fast paced environment. All Nail Technicians at Glen Ivy Hot Springs will support and positively participate in , in-house continuing education, additionally, Nail Technicians will be committed to and involved in the greater nail and spa community through involvement in professional organizations and continued education. It is an expectation that nail Technicians provide all nail services offered at Glen Ivy Hot Springs.

Our Nail Technicians will typically earn $24 – $45 per service hour (including average tips) based on their experience and efforts. We invite you to visit for additional information on our treatments, perks, and the glen ivy experience.

— Position Qualification Requirements —

License(s): State of California Cosmetology or State of California Manicurist License

Education/Training: Required training to receive license with continued education expected

Experience: 1 year of nail care experience preferred. Proven ability to provide quality services required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to) Maintain accurate pedicure logs following the cleaning and disinfecting procedures as stated by the California Board of Cosmetology

Review Glen Ivy Way documents as necessary
Provide the best possible manicure/pedicure services, and empathize to guests’ needs and concerns by providing them with all services listed in the Glen Ivy brochure
Assist in any activity deemed necessary for the normal operations of the manicure/pedicure department
Maintain appropriate decorum, appearance and professionalism at all times
Inform Spa’s guest of products available for retail sale
Ensure FIFO is being followed
Cross promote other spa services
Educate our guest on the benefits of both the product and the service they are receiving
Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings, including product knowledge
Attend training sessions to increase his/her knowledge of products available for sale at Spa.
Check work station contents (station supplies) as early as possible and restock if necessary prior to start of appointment times
Clean and restock workstations with all necessary supplies for the next day’s schedule
Communicate with reception desk, GTM and Spa Director in regards to equipment shortages, scheduling errors and compensation errors.
Learn and perform new services
Use the various communications tools to obtain information, ex, the Loop, pre-shift, emails, TV monitors, Communication Boards, the Fountain and mailboxes.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
High attention to quality, detail, teamwork and customer service
Maintain Glen Ivy’s standard for excellence in the spa industry
Attend classes, seminars, shows and conventions
